The Heap’s shopping experience is all about creating a home from home. Alternatively, you can sit down and take the weight off your feet while the good people of Heap’s pack up your goodies and enjoy a cup of coffee and slice of cake from the light snack menu. It’s up to you, and you can be safe in the knowledge that you’ll be in for a treat either way.

All of Heap’s’ sausages are made on site, by hand, with the greatest of care. This is what makes them so utterly irresistible and inviting. It also means that the experts themselves are on site to answer any questions you have about flavour, ingredients, cooking methods or how best to serve your sausages.
Quality ingredients, unbelievable recipes
With a chef’s and restaurateur’s background, Martin Heap has travelled the world looking for authentic recipes and inspiration for new flavours and ideas for you to try. He is passionate about using the very best of British ingredients with prime whole cuts from the shoulder and belly which is then carefully garnished with fresh seasonal herbs, spiced and filled into natural casings.
Drawing on his experience as a chef, Martin has created some unique and sumptuous ingredient combinations in his range of sausages.
Among the more inventive sausages are the pork, apple & wildflower honey sausage which is a delicious culinary combination full of apples with a gentle sweetness that only honey can give. Or there’s the beef & Guinness stout sausage which you can try with Heap’s own colcannon and onion gravy. Others of you might prefer the simplicity of Heaps Award Winning No.1 Sausage - a rich pork preparation with eggs and a subtle blend of spices. What’s not to like?
